1) On friday I learned a new Spanish hand game and played it with a bunch of students. It was pretty fun and educational. It involves counting!
2) Yesterday I went running with one of my housemates, Kyrui, who has been dying to get some exercise. We started out just the two of us but before long we had five little boys join us. One of them had a machete so we felt safe running side by side sugar cane that is about fifteen feet high on each side of the unpaved rocky and hilly path we ran on. The run gave me joy because working out just makes you happy but also because running with kids with a beautiful landscape of green bush all around at sunset was quite the experience.
3) On Sunday the four of us from Wheaton had what I like to call our first official ¨team time.¨We celebrated the fourth of July by eating brownies, glancing at stars and collectively reading The Shack. It was a special evening to say the least.
